I own Halo, but I don't like the games. I'm all for Sci Fi shooters but there was just something about Halo that I really hate, but thats my personal opinion. No need to tell me that I'm stupid or anything... I've had it all before I just don't like the game myself.

if a scfi shooter is what u want i would recommend dead space just because of the aswsome wepons and the large gore factor

If they made a Halo that played a bit more like Call of Duty, it would be a lot better. I just go on Halo after playing Call of Duty and I just can't stand the gameplay of it.

I think Halo is quite good, but nothing more than that. I feel that many Halo fans were disappointed with Halo 3 because they believed in all the hype. It's the same with many games, actually *cough*MW2*cough*. However, I accept it as a quite good game and therefore enjoy it. The online's fun, sure, but the graphics are ropey and outdated and I've noticed that at the end of the day, the online can be just a bunch of power-armoured beasts jumping around shooting at each other. But hey, that's just my opinion.

I get what your all saying but the really beautiful thing about halo in my book is the simplicity of it. I love the fact that despite bad graphics and gameplay (as you all point out) it still has sold amzingly well through all 4 halo games. Wether they have problems or not I think the raw idea of it is brilliant. Hey sometimes we all wish we could be power crazed aliens jumping around fireing of bullets p.s: I also find halo is more adapted for everyone to play, there arn't skilled strategic players who always win like in COD. In halo you can just run in and do your stuff

I'm sorry, but did you just say Call of Duty is strategic? LOL I'm joking, obviously, but I wouldn't say it's strategic - any gamer could be good at it. On the topic of Halo: I wouldn't say its gameplay is bad at all - just, as you said, very basic. I'm not a big fan of the 'jump fifty feet in the air and shoot' style play, so I don't play often. Nonetheless, I accept its success and think it's an okay game.

Because I don't really play it. If I were to play it 8 hours a day like you or Jan then I could probably do quite well - so could anyone else, to be honest.
There is no strategy in 'I see you first so I shoot first and win'. In my opinion, I think it's knowing the maps that helps you win. But then again, there's no strategy in camping.
